Perhaps the simplest, most impactful, and most memorable way to impart any idea is to use analogy. The more relatable the analogy to every day life or commonly known concepts, the better. For example, if you are trying to illustrate an idea then you could draw from well known events from history or stories from literature and media that follow a similar narrative.

Analogy can also be used really effectively in design. For example, if you are stuck on how to improve efficiency in communication of information you might want to look at how ants communicate. Or when designing a shoe perhaps looking to materials used in space or large engineering structures that could be miniaturised.
